It was 1930, the Great War was something from the past and the II World War was 9 / 10 years far away and no one had the idea that it could happen.

Riders from all over Europe and USA were in the field that day for an exciting and friendly competition, very different from the evil oncoming one.

Most of the riders cavalry officers from all countries were carrying with the the new way of riding learned years

 before from the direct pupils of Federico Caprilli or  some directly from Caprilli himself, before his death dues to a

related horse accident.
